mf 240 diesel air bleeding

Well, bleeding did not get the tractor going. Tried and tried. Has to be the injection pump. Question, does anyone know how to get the pump off. I took the lines and necessary linkage off. Then I removed the three bolts that hold the pump onto the front cover. But, feels like it is stuck. comes out about 1/8 inch. Then removed the front inspection cover. (6 bolts) Don't know where to go from here. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks, Basil

After the front cover is removed in front of the pump drive remove the three bolts in the pump drive gear, they hold the gear to the pump drive hub. Pump will pull out after that's done. There's a pin in the gear that locates in a groove in the drive hub for proper timing when going back together.
