massey ferguson model # identification 9a146045

Hi,

Was hoping someone can help me identify a model # and year for a Massey Ferguson I got for FREE!

Serial #: 9A-146045... now the "#1" could easily be an upper case letter "I"... plate is scratched so its hard to tell.

Any help identifying the [b:87184c7819]year and model number [/b:87184c7819]for this tractor will be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking for a torque converter for this tractor, any help with that would be nice too!

It could be several different MF. Is it a 135-150-165-175? All these have the # 9A--.

The 9A serial number prefix began in 1967, there is no way to tell the model number by the serial number. If you could post some good pictures of the tractor we could probably tell what model it is (rearend, steering, what engine it has are some ways to id a model).

Just seen that you need a torque converter for it so it will be a MF industrial tractor.

I'd say its a 3165 industrial.

Looks like a MF30 you try calling http://www.gbdorning.com/ they used to be a MF industrial dealer. Their parts department maybe able to help.
