MH 33 - Goods/Bads?

I have wanted a MH tractor for a long time - have seen quite a few 44's. A guy had a nice looking 33 gas at a recent show. It had factory 3 pt, nice tin, and sounded nice. Tires are so-so, lots of tread but they were chewed up some. It had hydraulics, and he said I should be able to set them so I could use my 3 pt wood splitter. I can probably buy it for 2k or a bit more. I only want it as a collector tractor - I have several other tractors to work with. Are there any known issues to watch out for? What is a fair price?

Thanks,

Tim

If factory hydraulics, they will likely be low pressure style, and you won't get the pressure needed for your splitter. Make sure the manifold is good, they are hard to find, and if equipped with live pto, see that the clutch is not slipping. Otherwise, a pretty good simple tractor, about 35 hp . Ben
