It runs!!!!! Badly..... But it runs!!! 165

So I was able to start the 165 gas Perkins machine. It started very easily but runs on two maybe three cylinders. Spark is good to the plug so either I have two bad plugs or a stuck valve or combination of both. Everything works that I can see. The bad tire I jacked up to remove so tried the tranny. Works great and quiet. Mp seems to work in high and low. All gauges and lights work. Steering is really easy and tight. Thanks for the help.

A couple of questions again.
Three point lever on quadrant does not work but hydraulic remote with long honking lever runs three point with what appears to be pressure up and down?????? Why is that lever running the three point.

Anyone have a napa number for the Perkins valve cover gasket? Don't want to wait for shipping.

Looks like it is worth fixing the rim. Thanks for the help.

The auxiliary valve LEFT lever is to be locked back for three point use. It should be in the center for external cylinder use, with one of the three point controls in "constant pumping" position. The left lever should stay locked back by turning the handle clockwise, to keep it back in the detent.
DO NOT use constant pumping when using the three point, or pump damage may occur.

Looks like you got lucky. I would get a tube of RTV at NAPA and put the cover on with that. Just got to be very clean first. If you don't need remote hydraulics for anything, take that valve off and put the little plate back on. I believe they sell the cover plate on the YT store here- a few bucks. I'm sure a tune up kit would be a good next step too.. congratulations!
