I am going to replace the fan belt on my 1965 MF 135 Continental Z145 gas engine. Are there any tips or tricks I should know about.

Should be easy change, loosen generator bolts, swing inward. Now if you have a front pump installed, that's much more work, unless you get a link belt. These type belts can be lengthened or shortened and assy in place around pump shaft.

Tom, Thanks for your information...it was a breeze changing my fan belt (no hydraulics in the way). Here are two photos, showing the old fan belt coming out and the new one going in.
