Hello
I am working on a Massey Harris 30 6 volt
positive ground with a cut out. When I turn
the lights on ammeter shows discharge. I
have the generator checked twice by a repair
shop and each time the cut out has been
replaced. I have installed a new key switch
because the old one only worked half of the
times tested. I have installed a new correct
three position light switch. I tried a brand
new battery. I replaced the ammeter with one
I knew worked out of a different tractor. I
have made sure the belt is tight. I have
made sure the posts and cables are clean and
tight. I have made sure that the ammeter is
wired correctly because it shows discharge
when tractor isnt running. I have also
rewired the tractor. I have made sure that
the generator, cut out and light switch are
grounded. I have also tested it out with my
multi meter and have 6.25 volts with lights
on and tractor at high idle. I don't know
what else to do and am pulling my hair out.
Sorry for the long post. Thank you for any
help
