265 overheats

This machine has a heater in the cab in the overhead console. I had the rad out to a shop to be cleaned. I proved the system flow by removing the upper rad hose and pushed all the coolant out the thermostat housing with a shop vac blower. It flew out no problem. The coolant wasn't dirty at all. Fan belt is tight. I removed the thermostat and tested it in boiling water. It opened. I left it out. I finally changed the water pump. The bearing wasn't as free as the new spareco pump but it didn't seem bad. The block was clean inside. No sludge. The new impeller fins were slanted same way as The original Massey pump. It still overheats. I'm stumped. What did I miss?

Does it overheat under high load or just slightly loaded?
If it's overheating during light use, check if you are getting warm air flow out of the heater core during that. If not, they you likely have an air lock somewhere in the system and it needs more bleeding. If bleeding does not cure the air locking, it may be a head gasket problem.

If the radiator and block are good and clean the timing being off will cause an engine to over heat.

Does it boil out the coolant? Maybe your gauge is bad just showing a high temp? Infrared heat guns are handy to check actual temp of the coolant.

The system builds pressure. The coolant level has never dropped. My heater will blow hot air and then circulate on convection flow while my lower rad hose stays cold. I can keep it from boiling over on a cold day with the cab heater on. It would boil over if I let it. It starts and runs like it has for over 10 years. I don't think the timing is off. But I guess it could be. My neighbours 265 gets warm on the bottom hose and stays at 12 o'clock on the gauge running the haybine when it 90 degrees.
