mf 275 diesel in oil

checked oil other day before starting to cut hay and it was above full and didnt feel or smell right so i changed the oil and fuel pump hoping maybe the diaphram in the pump was leaking, checked the oil after cutting hay and it is alittle over full again. where else would it be leaking from? injectors?

Simple things first?...if the tractor has a thermostat in the induction manifold then try disconnecting it....You have already tried the fuel lift pump, so rule that out, next could be he seal in the injector pump, but that is a specialist job. Injectors can leak but usually you get a lot of blue smoke on start-up........

Most likely... lift pump.

Next most likely... leaking front seal on injection pump.

Then injectors, but as mentioned there are usually other symptoms when injectors are dribbling.

Won't be the thermostart as the US models didn't have it. As said before start with the fuel supply pump first, if that does not stop fuel into the oil then the injection pump needs resealed. I've been seeing more DPA drive hub seals leaking lately, at least more than usual. Also seeing more head to housing O rings leaking too. Been getting to use the test stand more lately it seems...

Considering the fact that these injector pumps are in the 40-55 year old range. Most of them probably still have the original drive hub seals in them so that's pretty good life out of a seal.

ok i hope all is well where my brother parked it was leaning down hill and to the left toward dipstick, i moved it to level ground and it checks right on the money so hope the lift pump fixed it.
