We have a 1968 MF 150 powered by a 3
cylinder Perkins gasoline motor. I've
followed this forum for a while now and
don't hear much about them. It's always a
diesel or continental gas. Are there fewer
of the Perkins gas models? Everyone wants
a diesel but I've ran one quite a bit but
on a 6 ft bush hog it can't hang with the
gasser in heavy brush and grass. Seems like
the diesel is short on power in all
applications. Less maintenance though.
Just looking for opinions on gas vs diesel.
I'm a gas fan on the smaller tractors
regardless of brand
