Anyone removed a stabilizer pen like this before?

I already had the parts depot's website up and they have one of each part number in stock. The pin in Wisconsin, and the nut in Colorado. If you can't find one through a dealer (if no longer made, etc...) have them order from the Depot.

Here is the broken side. It used to have a hole for a lynch pin to hold the sway bar in place.

this is on a 1969 175

Thanks all!

What is the full part number on that casting? It doesn't look like the one they show in the AGCO parts book, so the numbers I posted for the pin and nut may not do you any good. The partial I can see isn't what the 175 numbers end with either...

You would probably have heat that bracket around the pin to get it out. You can try a big hammer, and a punch, or find someone who has a hydraulic press to press it out. It may need to be heated with a torch while using a hydraulic to press it out depending on how hard it is stuck in there.

The nut would have originally pulled the slightly tapered pin in snug . So it follows that the nut end should be pushed/belted/hammered , otherwise trying from the lynch pin end will only tighten it more . Run a drill down the centre of the pin if you can , this will give it a space to contract in while you are forcing it out .

That appears to be it. Since it does not show a
fastener, it surely must just be pressed in? Think i
will try to force out from the lynch pin side today.

Thank you all!
