Hi new to Yesterdays Tractors and I hope someone with more knowledge than myself can give me a little info. I am looking at a 1105 that has no 1st or reverse 2nd and 3rd are fine and the rod to the shifter is intact moving the lever on the trans. I am looking at buying this tractor so I have no history with it?? any help greatly appreciated! thanks

Will the shift lever go left into the first-reverse slot? If not one of the shift rods could be bent slightly, loosing the shift lever crossover. How about park? Also look for any trash that rodents can get into the shifter area. Dad's 1100 lost hi range once because squirrels packed walnuts under the linkage, keeping hi from engaging.

yes it moves freely and I looked up under the cab and the lever on the trans is moving up and down with no trash in the way. I assume it has to be internal but not sure. The gear selector lever does go side to side fine and moves freely up on the dash. thanks for the quick reply!!

I should also mention there is a plate at the bottom of the trans, have to remove drawbar, but can pull that off and
see what it may have caught, there is a screen there for the pump, it should be taken off and cleaned any way when
change oil.

Thanks the parts breakdown helps a lot! I had been looking for that and had not been able to find anything. So looking at the breakdown there appears to be a screw that holds the shift fork to the rail so that's a possibility. I can still feel the detents so the shift rod must still be moving. That's how I am thinking thus far anyway.

I've got an 1105 that I was just driving today and it decided that it didn't want to go into 1/R. The lever moves freely into 2/3, multi power works, and high/ low works, it just won't come out of the 2/3 slot. Can anybody tell me it's something simple? I just bought the tractor about 6 weeks ago, and I've probably only put 4 or 5 hours on it, but everything seemed to be working fine until I went to pull the grain truck out this afternoon.
