Posted a few days ago about the PTO slipping some under load. Was suggested that I check PTO pump pressure.
First question. After studying my parts manual some, do I understand correctly that the PTO control lever only operates a hydraulic valve,
nothing mechanical about it?
2nd question. If the PTO pump pressure is low, can I assume the PTO can slip even if the clutch discs are fine.
3rd question. How do I check the PTO pump pressure?
I found what was called a service repair manual on the web but it was only 70 pages and covered a few different tractors. That doesn't sound
much like a comprehensive manual with only 70 pages. My parts manual is 2" thick for just the Super 90. What do you think?
Thanks for the expert info and advise.
