I finally got a price on the 101JR we are looking at, it was a wee bit higher than we are willing to spend and the owner said that the 101 is a pretty rare model and can't really let it go for any less, are they really that rare?

According to Massey data book there were 13356 101 and 102 Jr. standard treads and 14296 101 and 102 Jr. rowcrop versions made.

I have a few 101 jr's. I would be willing to sell if interested, reasonable.located in central pa. 7173570637

Thank you very much for the information. This one in particular was originally bought new by my great grandfather and that's why I was so interested in this particular one. He's had it for at least fifteen years now and hasn't started to work on it yet so maybe I'll let him sit on it awhile longer and see if he'll lower the price. The last time we asked he said he'd only let it go for a square trade on the 333 diesel we just finished restoring now he has an actual price ($1500) maybe he may lower it in time because I don't think at this point he will likely tackle restoring it. The engines seized some parts are missing all rubber is unsalvageable, it will require a lot of work and $$$ to bring it back into any kind of condition so we were thinking more along the lines of $500 family history or not.

What year is it? The older models, ones with screen grilles versus the louvered grille seem to be a bit more rare!!! I bought this 1941 about 3 years ago for around $1000, had been stored inside, had all the tin (in good shape), motor loose (running with minor work), rubber that held air!!!! I did end up replacing all tires, this is after I refurbished it!!!

That turned out incredible, awesome job there, this one has the big fenders not sure on the grill off the top of my head,my uncle thought it was a late 40's model from his memory if that would be possible, the tin is all fairly decent but is quite rusty.

I can appreciate the sentimental value it has for you, but trying to trade for a restored 333 diesel, he's just trying to take you across and take advantage of you. That wouldn't sit too well with me.

Ya he said it kind of jokingly but serious too,Dad told him what to go do kinda jokingly but seriously as well ha ha
