Need to know the width between rear tires on MF 165 ( outside edge of tire)

No one answer to this. The wheels and centers can be switched around from almost 9 feet bead to bead to just over 6- some one might be able to post the chart on this.
If you are trying to fit on a trailer, I will say about 6 feet 8 is the narrowest setting, if you are lucky. My 65 or MF30 don't fit on mine with the railings on.
