Hydraulic Selector Valve

I have a 2001 MF 231S with a Bush Hog Front End Loader. Current set up is a three way selector valve like this one to
switch to front or rear hydraulics.

The problem is I have to switch it over and put the three point in the full lifted position to work the front
hydraulics. For one, it doesn't switch well and has to be messed with to get the hydraulics working, and the other is
a pain for wanting to operated the three point with the mower on it. While I set the mower in position, move the
selector over and then use the front, the problem is when I want to move the mower up or down, you have to got thru
alot.

I am thinking about going over the one below. It says you no longer have to changed the 3 point lift to operate the
front, just change the selector.

Anyone used these? Any good?

Any other suggestions on what I could do?

Thanks

My brother has the one like the second one you are looking at, and it works pretty good (the flat one looks cheaply made). Is the front end loader a Massey Ferguson? if so what model is it?

AGCO does make a front mount pump also for front end loaders that uses a 17 gpm pump. The loader will work a lot faster with the 17 gpm front mount pump (plus it free's up your 3 point so you don't need a diverter valve). You can even run rear remotes off of the front pump if you want. You can go to http://agcopartsbooks.com/PartsBooksN/Viewer/ and lookup MF loader model 232 then go to page 140.

That's exactly what I was just thinking. Buy the Shaft, and bracket and mount another pump. Even if I have to modify
the bracket some. Could probably do it all for less than 1000.00

Thanks!!

The MF pump drive shaft usually use a pump that has a 3/4" dia keyed shaft, just make sure the pump you get runs the right direction. Surplus center can help you with that.
