3-point hitch adjustment lever stuck

Never owned a Massey before, but I now own an MF65 (1959). Right now I can't seem to be able to turn the 3-point hitch adjustment crank to level the implement connected to the hitch. Is this normal? I used to work on a Ford 2600 an you would just turn the crank and adjust the level up or down. The crank on my MF65 won't move at all, what the heck? Is it seized? How do I fix this? I tried taking the arm off today but wasn't successful. Any ideas? Here are some pictures to help.

Works just like a ford on my '64 MF 65. Probably seized is my guess. Ignore the blue circle.

That often happens when they are not greased often enough or ( hopefully not) the lift rod got bent slightly.

The threads inside either strip or gall when used without grease . Taking it off is probably the only way to tackle it . If it's too far gone you will have to remove it in any case, so really no effort is lost .

Thanks guys. I tried taking it off yesterday but was unable to. I took off the bolt at the bottom where it connect with the bottom lift arm, but at the top, just above the leveling crank, there are two clevis pins holding the articulated joint together (see picture, if my upload worked). I thought I could just remove those and try to work on getting it unseized but the clevis pins won't come out (even tried hammering them out, though I don't have much clearance to do so). I don't see any rust and it looks like it should come apart, but no go. I don't see any other way of taking that apart... any thoughts on that?

Finally got her loose!! It took a 3ft pry bar and locking the crank under the seat to get it to move. Unfortunately, it seems like some of the threads got damaged because at certain points when turning the crank, it skips over some of the damaged threads, but at least I got the implement level. Now the challenge will be to find a replacement part......... hmmm...

You can buy the shaft. At top above crank there is a flat (washer like) that you remove
to get shaft out. Remove roll pin in crank handle and work out then slide shaft out.
Most times housing is full of dried grease. Clean replace parts and fill with grease.

Thanks for the instructions.

Does anyone else's crank hit the wing when it's turned? It feels like the stupidest thing because there's no 3PH position where it doesn't hit the side of the wing (and eventually chip the paint off). I'm wondering if the side wings were aftermarket and perhaps protrude inward more than the original parts.

(quoted from post at 14:17:16 05/06/16) I just can't seem to be able to upload a photo. Is there a special trick to doing this?

Once you see the photo you want in the preview window select upload[u:ad8487fcbb] then[/u:ad8487fcbb] press[u:ad8487fcbb] continue[/u:ad8487fcbb] . You don't need to load another in you don't want to , once you've done this look at the preview , you should see the code line of the photo . If you don't then try again till you do . No code line , no photo.
