MF 184-4 three-point hitch not working -HELP!!!!!

We have a 184-4 (Landini built) and the 3-pt. and remotes are no longer working. The oil has been changed, a new filter installed and the pump has had new seals and o-rings installed all to no avail. We've attempted re-priming the pump. Also applied air pressure into the transmission to force oil to the pump.
The draft and position levers are free and playing with different combinations hasn't helped. We haven't yet pulled the drop rate control valve or opened up the rear housing. I'm open to helpful suggestions. Thanks in advance.

You don't state whether you have suceeded in priming the pump? If not, remove the pressure pipe completely from the pump body, hold stop lever and start the tractor. Run at idle until the pump primes. If it still fails to prime, try removing the pump and turn over by hand while "oiling" the inlet port of the pump, then refit and repeat procedure. I've also had sucess in "overfilling" the transmission case with oil, then draining off the excess once system has primed.
If you were infact able to get the pump primed but the lift still fails to raise, remove the small inspection plate under the seat w/breather fitted, start tractor, and see if oil flows from the dump port. Work the position lever and watch the flow. If it doesn't alter, you may have a stuck control valve or check valve. Repairing this is done by removing the valve "block" from the front face of the lift cover,
let us know how you get on, Evan.

Thank You for the reply!!! We'll try it again this weekend. And we'll let you know how we make out as well. This model is kind of a rare animal in this part of the world. (Southeast Ohio, USA) But I think it is a really good machine.
