hi all i have a mf 50a with a 300 loader on it its my first
old tractor and the cylinders are leaking badly im trying to rebuild them but i cant get the end caps to turn i got one to turn but the spring poped out of its hole so i had to back it up and press it back in now it wont turn again so i guess the spring is froze in there i tried heating it but im afraid of getting it too hot
is there any good way to get the spring free or do i need to buy all new cylinders

If the spring (almost a circle with one end bent down) came out of a slotted hole in the cylinder barrel that is the locking spring, that's what holds the end of the cylinder in place. I hate those cylinders, they can a real pain to get apart.

the problem im having is the spring came out of the inner hole not the hole in the outer cylinder so i got it back in the inner hole but it wont turn out

The guys who work on them on a daily basis have their own tricks, and tools to get them apart. I've had some I could get apart, and some I couldn't, the ones I couldn't I had a hydraulic shop take them out.

well i took them to the shop one was a pita to get off and the other practically jumped off didn't try to get the second one
open so i dont know how that will go the guy that i took them to said the first one may not be repairable but he had a few tricks to try on it we will see
