Hi Old... Thanks for posting the good info to this forum. I'm getting old too, but I'm brand new to this forum. I've had a Massey 165 for quite some time with the Continental gas engine, and about a 2 years ago, the float stuck open where gas was running out of the carb intake. So I sent it to Yesterday's Tractor for a rebuilt Carb (Marvel) and up until lately it was running really nice... but today it did the same trick where after being shut down for about 15 minutes, I noticed the carb drooling out fuel, and then about a cup or gas ran out of the intake hose from the air cleaner when I pulled the hose off the carb to inspect. Fortunately after turning the petcock off at the sediment bowel for about 10-15 minutes, she started up again, but I seem to have a systematic problem here. When I put the rebuilt carb on a year or so ago, I also installed an inline fuel filter with a paper filter element, knowing my that my 55 year old gas tank was no virgin. I was encouraged by the forum discussion here of the Chinese Viton coated float needles as a possible culprit that could be remedied, but I am also curious of your suggestion of the Walker brand kits from OReilly Auto Parts as "being what you need". Can you please offer some more information of this, or any other suggestions that you or any other members might be able to offer. Many thanks! ... Gary from Dripping Springs Texas
