Perkins 152UA Clyinder Head studs

I ordered the manuals for this tractor, I had hoped they would be here yesterday, but no joy. I do not have time to wait any longer and was hoping someone could help me out. I was changing the head gasket and one of the studs stripped at 25 Ft/Lbs during torque down. I bought all new studs but have not seen the actual Perkins installation positions.(there are 4 different lengths and the parts breakdown does not specify position) I measured each one on removal but at least 2 were non std lengths. There were washers on about half of them and they are not specified per the build. It looks like the right hand side 3 studs need to be sealed against oil from the cam gallery to keep oil from seeping up to the head gasket. I also could not find the torque for the studs themselves. Any info would be appreciated. thx

On a further topic, the use of copper seal. If you have a good set of surfaces to work with, and both the block and head are of steel. Is there something about this engine design or gasket design that has poor thermal dynamics requiring this?

What is the serial number of the engine? The engine serial number should be something like UA431804DL (they changed some engine parts at engine seral number UA431804DL).

This is the same MF40 we spoke about last week. S/N 152UA131161D. I do not know the factory torque for the studs. It is an assembly in tension. Both torques must match for optimum results. The Perkins site did not specify although it showed two torques 60 and 70 ft/lbs. The highest torque I measured during disassembly was 31 ft/lbs, most studs were 10 ft/lbs or less. Measured with a digital torque wrench. I did it both ways with different assy's either tightening to movement or direct measurement of break away torque.

The Massey Ferguson shop manual I have says the cylinder head torque is 55 - 60 ft/lbs.

I forgot you have a industrial tractor.
Prior to engine serial number 152UA391044DL the head studs are.
734266M1 Stud (7/16" NF x 4-1/8") 3 each.
734309M1 Stud (7/16" NF x 4-5/16") 8 each.
734308M1 Stud (7/16" NF - 3/8" NF x 5-7/8") 6 each.
736976M1 Stud (7/16" NF - 3/8" NF x 4-9/16") 1 each
Stud number 736976M1 requires 1 washer part number 1440275X1

I can not find a diagram showing where the different length of studs go.
