135 with maybe standard diesel

have a 135 with what appears to be a 3 cyl standard diesel. The engine no. is 19B xxxxxxx C. From what I read they were 4 cyl. This tractor also has an emergency brake with a long handle on the left side of transmission case. Any one know what this is?? Thanks.

Can you post a photo? Sounds like a frankentractor. MF last used the four cylinder 23C Standard in 1959, used the Perkins 3.152 after that. At least I've never seen a three cylinder Standard..

Dealer says it is not perkins. Has pre-combustion chambers and the injectors stand straight up and not on an angle. serial no. is on wrong side of engine, and no where like a perkins no. Dealer thinks it is a gray market tractor.

The early Perkins A3.152 and A4.203 indirect injection diesels DID have pre-chambers and vertical injectors. The AD3.152 and AD4.203 were direct injection engines with the angled injectors, pistons had the bowl style combustion chamber.

Someone put a engine in from its predecessor the MF35. It would take some work to adapt a 3 cylinder diesel engine that wasn't a 3.152 Perkins. Need pictures!

Early 35,s did have a 4 cylinder diesel built by Standard Motors. English engine, do not park it in the shade if you want it to start. Late models had the much more desirable 3 cylinder. Perkins diesel.
