So that happened just a few days ago. You can seethe bottom two hold that hold the drawbar support bracket have torn completely out. Likewise, the top right bolt for the bracket had a bolt broken off in there proper to me buying it! So I'm down to one function bolt hole to hold that bracket! Not hardly enough to use the drawbar with any sort of comfort. So what can I do? Would a machine shop be able to drill and tap new mounting holes in that mounting pad? Thanks.

The bracket that you show is for the 65 to 1080 tractors. The 35 and 50 were set up the same as the small Fords.

I agree, get an original bracket that mounts to the bottom of the rear differential case. I have two of them in stock on parts tractors if you need one.

No, that picture came from the AGCO parts catalog for a MF35, and that is the correct part number for that bracket for a 35. My brothers 135, and 150 also came with the same bracket. Even my 135 has that same bracket on it.

You are 100% Correct PT Farmer. I have two Ferguson 35's in the warehouse with this bracket. My personal tractor a MF 150 has one also.

I own a 1963 Massey Ferguson 35 X with a TEA 20 DRAWBAR ATTATCHMENT.....as per picture.

At some time I shall install HEAVY DUTY HITCH as per pics:

I NO longer use the HITCH as per TRACTOR picture as these hitches are sure to cause frailer at the mounting points.

Thanks for the replies! That's definitely the direction I need to go. I'll be contacting you about your used parts soon, once I figure out how to send an email or PM on here.;)

Proof you can teach old dogs new tricks,
I have been around these old tractors all my life and I have never seen a hitch like this that solely attaches under the differential,

All I have seen on the 35's have been like the one that is shown broken,

When we got our TO35 it only came with the crossbar hitch and the stay bars to support it,
Later dad had an aftermarket insert bar hitch installed, it was made like the one shown in the picture that has the castings broken,

Question to the owner of the tractor, what on earth did you hit or how did you break the hitch casting bolts out, must have been some teeth jarring hit to to that,

A foot or so up the back of the transmission (below the top link attach point) there are a series of holes running horizontally through very strong webs in the transmission casting, to hold a 3/4 pin. On one of mine with the broken-out lower holes I ran a couple of pieces of angle iron from that pin down to the bottom plate and welded them to the plate. One or two cap screws held the chain bracket - don't remember if I tacked the angle iron pieces to that as well. Or may have attached the chain clevises to the angle irons - sorry, memory is foggy. That was 40 years ago!

Worked for me until that tractor went on to a new home.

Haha you'd think! But not at all. I was in reverse low backing the 35 and our wood shavings spreader into the bank barn...the hitch pin was too long and caught the concrete lip as I backed in. I heard it, but didn't feel a thing! Then when I went to pull the tractor out the next day I saw the damage!

Those "universal" drawbar mounts that use the 4 bolts around the pto shaft don't look very well made to me. As stated earlier they put the drawbar load on the wrong part of the rear end housing (I would bet that MF would advise against using those types of mounts).

Just a quick update: got my new factory mount on yesterday and it fits great! I can totally see why this is 100% a better design than the old non-factory setup. Thanks for all the help...this will be my tedding tractor during hay season now that that is sorted out!
