Changing light fuse MH 20 (or 81,82, 22) ????

Just finishing up a Massey Harris 20 and I realized that once all the tin is bolted on, changing the light fuse (which is located on the 3-position charge/light switch on the dash) is pretty much inaccessible. Looks like a guy would have to remove all the bolts that hold the dash into place but even then, getting that dash loose and shuffled up the steering column for rear access makes me wonder how easy that is going to be. I should have just hotwired that fuse holder in the switch and then put an in-line fuse holder in an area more accessible but it's too late for that now. It's been ten years since I tore the tractor all apart so I don't remember how easy it was to take everything apart.

Just did it on a 22, wrapped the steering column in old t shirts from the girls and took out 6 stove bolts. Pulled in back about 4 inches and was able to get my old long handled needle nose pliers in and pull the fuse out. Then I talked my wife who has small hands into putting the new fuse in in the holder and pushed it in place with a long small tipped sure driver

That's a reassuring post ...... obviously the correct procedure for doing any behind-the-dash work. You might be the only guy here on the forum that has ever done that !!!! One other possibility that came to mind was to loosen up the gas tank and move it forward to gain better access but your method is much better. What amperage fuse do you use?
