Look What I Found

I've been seeing a MF tractor from the road at an old truck patch farm for years setting in an old barn. I finally stopped to find no one lives in the house anymore. I decided to look around a little. The tractor I'd been seeing was a 150 diesel and in front of it is a TO 20 or 30 and several pieces on equipment. Behind that barn was another shed that had fell in on top of the tractor in the picture. I finally tracked down the owner and I'm going to see if they want to sell any or all of it. I really don't have a clue of what to offer him if he does in fact want to get rid of any of them. I'm going to see what he say's and tell him I need to get a real good look at them before I make an offer so I might post some more pictures and ask you guys for some help getting a amount together to offer him. I already have 4 tractors and equipment so if I get these my wife may divorce me! That will give me something else to ponder on huh?

From the hood style that is a Massey Harris not a Massey Ferguson. From the looks of it, it's not in running condition, so value won't be more than $1000

That's more of a 'half a barn barn find'.
Over the years, I found that a non runner at 500 is fair to both parties. If it turns out OK, good for you. If it is junk, good for him. They want more? they can get it started and roll around and stuff. So 3 dead tractors, 100 each for implements- again fair for him too, so I'd quit at 2 grand for it all.
Miner 09 can give you pointers on ? negotiating? Like Penny and Captain Kirk... he's how I got one of my 50's. And a yard full of everything that went with it!!
Yeah that one is a 56 or 7. Old fashioned Massey scalloped hood is a dead giveaway. I have 3 MHF 50's, I think of 2 of them as 'go to' tractors. The third one sets itself on fire alot... hence, the win a few lose a few $500 rule.... that one's the next rebuild project..Good luck.

Did these tractors have power steering? I know they have a 3 speed hi/lo trans on them. Being that you have some of these anything that I need to look closely at if he does want to sell? Thanks.

Very cool find. That 50 looks like it has a front blade on it. PS was optional but that one doesn't have it. No pictures of the 150? I've been watching for one but haven't found the right one yet. I think Tony has got the price about right.

With scrap prices the way they are now $500.00 is about right. He would probably get less than $500.00 at a scrap yard because they don't want the tires, if they take them they will drop the price per pound.

Wish I could find a 150 diesel at a reasonable price.

My brothers 1965 150 diesel with multi-power, he bought it used in 1975. It's still a work horse to this day!

Nice, if I wind up getting it I'd love to try and get that from you. If the owner says he's interested in getting rid of everything I'll post pictures of everything so all of you can help me with my offer or if I can't afford to get it all I'd be happy to share the information with any of you all that my want something. I've got a 640 Ford with a loader on it that I would love to put on that MH 50 along with your power steering. Where are you located Mr. Elton? And thanks everybody!

I am in central Ky 42749 I junked a 50 with 38 rears ant tall front knees which I assume could be changed out to make the ps work on an ordinary 50
