The TO35 Standard 23C Diesel has been increasingly difficult to start. While idling, the engine revved slightly and quit and have not been able to start since. Compressions were inconsistent and the fuel system looked as it needed maintenance. Fuel tank was cleaned, fuel bowl in-tank screen replaced, all fuel lines disconnected and cleaned and reconnected, NEW fuel injector pump installed, new bleed-off lines installed, new injectors installed. Timing has been checked and confirmed to be correct - "G" mark properly aligned with the circlip. Fuel lift pump checked and is working. The tractor still does not start.
My question is, what next to look at before I begin a complete tear-down and rebuild?
