MH44 HD260 Oil Pump Question

Hello,
I have a situation with my '48 MH 44K oil pressure. I started it last Saturday to back out of my barn and it started to knock a bit. I noticed that it had zero pressure, so I shut it off to look for oil leaks and level of oil on the pan. So far so good. I started it again with the same result and I shut it down. It has new oil and filter and rebuilt filter canister and hoses. It had been registering 10 to 15 psi when running and showed no signs of failure. It has the Massey Harris 4 cylinder engine. I am in the process of removing the oil pan to examine the pump. I have a condensed shop manual (IT) that shows basically what the pump consists of along with an assembly manual that I copied (page-by-page) from the Massey-Ferguson website. I need to know if anyone sells a rebuild kit for this model of engine, and if it is a straight forward bit of work to remove and rebuild the oil pump. Sorry for the detail. I appreciate any assistance given me concerning this matter.
Thank you all,
Sapper

They are pretty simple, pump driven off crank gear, doubt it would fail completely.

Did problem start after you changed anything else?

As David said, nothing really special to repairing the H-260. There is a difference on the oil pumps concerning whether it's an early 9/16 bolt main or late 5/8 bolt, hole size is changed. I have seen the six cover screws come loose in the past causing pressure loss. The gas and diesel pumps are the same except for the relief spring, diesels had higher oil pressure. Not sure if there ever was a pump kit available.

Hello, David,
I had the head reworked {rebuilt) and that is all I had done in the way of work. The bottom end looked to be in real good condition, however the pump main gear was a tad loose. I will be removing the pump sometime next week. Thanks for asking.

Thanks Dieseltech,
I appreciate the reply. Looks like I really need to investigate this a little more.

I want to add one very important thing.

There is a short tube that goes between the oil pump and the block to carry the oil, you will have no oil pressure if that is missing and it is easy to get lost, BTDT.
