180 lift problem revisited

Ok I found the problem with my lift is that both "pistons" on the lift pump are broken. What would cause this? Has anyone used the aftermarket pumps available on ebay? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Don

We just rebuilt the pump on my 180. I had a partial rebuild kit I'd bought on eBay and a another used pump for parts. Mine wasn't broken, just scored up from the secondary pump grinding itself up. My dealer had a good case from the secondary pump so we made one from two. I have used an eBay pump on a regular 65 w/o MP. $140, so far so good. The control lever was a little different between the two pumps but the parts should interchange.
