2 more questions

First question, what gauge wire should I use to replace some wires on a diesel MF 65? Wires would be for the heater/thermometer, fuel gauge, and from starter switch to starter.

Second question, the hose guy say they can't make the power steering hose, even if it's all rubber, because they can't get the right fittings. Can't use the original fittings because the first guy we brought it to cut one of them off and still has it. DO the fittings have to be so exact do they just need to have the same threads?

Try to match whatever original wires you find- manual don't say? As for the tubes, go somewhere else. A hydraulic shop heavy equipment guys go to would do it.

That's what I thought for the tubes. Brought them in to the place where the power company brings all there boom trucks. All the mechanic guys said they would do it. Or
not. Well, there's 1 more place to try. Manual doesn't say what gauge wire.

Heater/thermometer? For the fuel gauge, and the starter switch to the starter solenoid 16 gage wire should be fine.

Any place that does industrial hydraulic work (rebuild pumps, cylinders, etc) should be able to make a hose.
