Like a few people I had a problem with starting my Tea20.
I had a good spark.
Timing OK.
Fuel getting to the carb.
Good up draught through the manifold.
No fuel getting to the head.
Basically one moment it was starting OK and then nothing.
People were suggesting all the above to check plus a few more.
But if it was OK one day and the next not, then I found it hard to believe that things could have gone so far out of adjustment so quick.
So I took the carb off and cleaned it all out.The main jet looked rough so I tried to take it out. In the end I drilled it out and re-tapped the thread. (10mm x 1 tap).
Almost impossible to buy new jets, but by looking on eBay I found one in the UK.
Now it was 0.095 and not .1 as it should be.
Put the carb back, had a good battery, and it started immediately and runs more evenly and a bit more power.
Strange that you can buy jets for older cars and motorbikes and yet with the number of Fergies sold why can't you buy them?
