CAD Models of Tractors

Hello again,

It's been a while since my backhoe hydraulics ordeal. As a refresher, I have a MF202 Industrial Workbull, and have made various modifications and upgrades to it for auxiliary hydraulics and such.

I have been using it to blow snow this year and it works great with my V-type blower, see link. But the sub zero highs make me want to continue looking at any sort of cab, or at minimum, a rear window/shield of some sort to minimize the wind and snow.

So my question is, does anyone have, or know of any 3D CAD models for this tractor? I have seen a couple renderings of a TO-20 and MF35 and tractors that are basically identical to the MF202, especially when what I would like to do should not be affected by the differences between them. I'm a tooling designer by trade so I have software and the know-how to do it and the equipment to build it. But short of measuring and drawing a "dumb" simplified representation of the parts I need, I would sooner just fab something out of thin air as I go. But if i had a model, I could design a much better end result.

If anyone has a model or knows where I could get one it would be well appreciated,
Thanks for reading,

I am trying to do the same on my 540 Cockshutt. I started with the cross section and scaled it with the wheelbase known length. Next I am going to find a model of the rear tires. My cab came from a 135 MF, so the 540 hood makes it sit a little high at the fenders. If you are near Ottawa, I would sell it to you and start with a different one!
Good luck with it. I am working in Solid works. I can share any tire models, etc I find.

Give me a couple of days, and put up some measurements of mine. It's a cab my dad built in the 1980's, he took it off when he sold the tractor (the guy didn't want the cab). it sat outside for years, the got widows busted out, and it got rusted out in spots. I removed all the rust, and made it brush cab for my 2135 industrial.

I'm from Iowa so i think I'm a little far away haha. I use Pro-E at work but can import most file types. I'm not very familiar with solid works but I can get models for tires and such off grabcad or similar no problem.

Hey now we're talkin. Thats pretty much exactly what I want to do, just something removable that I can throw on for winter or for dragging logs through the woods.

Yeah that's true, honestly it would probably just be on for winter and off when its warm, but i think i will go with plexiglass windows regardless for cost reasons. I guess i could do something so that the door(s) are removeable but leaves the roof as a sun shade

Yes a little ways away. Good luck with it. The wind howling makes you want one for sure. Then when the wind goes down, it seems to be ok without one.
Good luck with the project.

my cab is not removable as its welded on but attached in a way that I can service anything needed
I started with a $100 scraper cab from a Lealand 2100 and modified to fit as I progressed along
took me about 2 weeks part time as I had time to do things to it
it's not pretty but keeps me out of the elements
works for me
I havn't got heat in it yet but it does warm up a bit in time
and in the summer I remove the doors and open the windows so it's not hot as long as you are moving

Having the roof over your head in the summer is nice, you could make the roof removable also. To take the cab off, and on you need some sort of lift to get the cab high enough so you can drive underneath it.

I am going to 3D scan my tractor in the near future. Years ago we used an xbox 360 kinect to scan some objects into cad models, and it worked... at best. But now the new xbox kinect's are many times better, And I happen to have one. I will let anyone who's interested have a copy of the model, most likely it will be an .stl file but I can convert it to most anything.
