Massey Ferguson 2200 wont move

Good afternoon,

A while back I posted that my 2200 will not move forward or reverse when depressing either pedal, regardless of what position the 2 shifter levers are in.

Someone suggested taking the round cover off on the side of the Diff and check the main drive shear ring??

I took the top cover off below the seat where the PTO drive is and can move the tractor while turning the shaft. I do not see any issues!

there is a grooved shaft attached fore and aft with a cotter key in the middle that all seem fine. Any other ideas?? Thanks!!!

Look closely at the HI-LO range planetary gear set. IF the internal LO pressed in gear is out of place about 3/8 inch OUT of the carrier the HI-LO will BOTH be lost. The external LO range sleeve teeth can't mesh with the internal teeth, AND HI will be lost as the sleeve can't go forward far enough for the HI internal splines can mesh with the transmission shaft due to the limited forward travel. What I've done is press the internal gear back in place while apart and spot weld in a few places to prevent it happening again. If it's flush then it's OK, but it can happen on any planetary gear set.

My MF 205 Industrial does this when it's low on transmission fluid. It uses red ATF fluid like a car. Fillup plug is near pedals. MF 2200 may be similar.

So the arm in the pic that moves the Hi-Lo in and out wouldn't be pushing the gear in all the way? Can I remove the cotter key in the shaft and slide that back? Thanks!!!
