Ferguson T0-35 Deluxe

Just bought a 55 Ferguson TO 35 Deluxe. Want to replace tachometer and temperature guage. The old ones have been disconnected and cables missing. Can not locate where they hook up on engine. Can some one help me identify where those two items are found on the engine / Thanks

tack hooks to generator if it has 1. temp should be on top radiator inlet hose

Tach may be a problem as it was originally driven off a gearbox attached to the rear of the speciality built generator,
Most generators built like this are long gone, so no tach

If funds are not a problem, then go back with all new parts, but many have installed a much improved alternator after the old generator when south and they could not find anyone to fix it,

Then installed a low rpm electronic tachometer in the dash

Just food for thought,

Does it still have generator? If generator has tact drive new parts are available to replace and keep it original. Also you can get new armature and fields to rebuild generator. Local shops here will tell you they can't rebuild them. They just don't want to build it or don't know. I rebuild my own. Most tractors have been replaced with alternator.
