Hey just I have a 1956 TEA 20 with the standard motor in it it had the contintal carburetor on it and ran like crap but did run should I just replace with the proper carb

So what is on there? A Marvel?
A new zenith might cost you hundreds, but a few bucks and a little time to rebuild and adjust what you have now might be just fine.

It should have either a Zenith #1264 (85MM), or a Zenith #1201 (80MM) according to AGCO's part book.

The marvel schebler is a fine carb. Simpler than a zenith,much cheaper to rebuild than a zenith. Ferguson and Massey Ferguson used them from 1946 to the late 1970's early 1980's? Ford used them from 1939 to the 1970's? That carb will run fine on your standard engine. That engine doesn't know what's on it. I'd say you have trash in the carb or possibly upstream causing your problems. MF 35's could of had a Marvel,Carter,or Zenith all were used at different times on the same engine.

Hey Jason. Thanks for the carb info.I always wondered if my 1954 2085 would work with a marvel carb.
