MF 180D Multi-Power

Is it unusual for multi-power to act up or go out completely while all other hydraulics continue to work just fine, including the PTO and 3-pt lift? Even the remotes are working OK. Have checked the linkage from dash lever down into tranny which seems to move up and down and is connected.

180's have a filter in front of the radiator that goes to the transmission to the multi-power clutch pack. Check to see if it is plugged, I bought a 180D that was acting the same as you describe, changed that filter and the multi-power is now working as strong as ever. No guarantee that is the problem, but take a look.

When I worked at the local MF dealer the biggest killer of MP clutch we saw was low oil level. It doesn't hurt to run them a gallon over full, especially with a loader.
