I wanted to tell you the great news that not ALL aluminium aeroplanes became TEA transmission casings... the mosquito was mostly plywood, so I shouldn't put it here. But I did. Lots of canvas on the Hurricane is visible, but those are my favorites. I wonder if Electron Ltd been looking for these survivors? I have never seen a Beaufighter before, and don't know how much of it was alloy, but thought i'd post the pic anyway! I hope Santa brings your gang atleast one with a white metal gearbox!!

Merry Christmas Sam! Its been pretty green and warm here in bonny Northern New York. Its supposed to be in the 60s on Christmas. I've got lots of projects to keep me more than busy until spring.

Errr Tone, have I missed something here????????????????? I thought this was a tractor site!!!!!! Christmas wishes to
Sam and family and everyone on the site from a wet and miserable South Wales. It is very mild and not doing anything in
the way of frosty nights or snow to put us in the mood for Christmas. As usual for many of my friends Christmas Day is
likely to be another day of trying to keep out the rain and make their way through the mud etc to feed livestock. No
day off!!!
Tony, the Beaufighter was designed and built by the Bristol Aircraft Company and went in to service around 1942. By
later standards it was slow and was later replaced in many of its roles by the Mosquito with its revolutionary
construction.
Cheers
