I have misplaced the bolt and washer that screws into the end of the crankshaft. This bolt holds the pulley on the end of the crank at the front of the tractor. It is about the size of your thumb. The parts manual only gives me a part number, no dimensions. Massey Ferguson wants $26 for the bolt and $24 for the washer!!!!!! Does anyone have any idea the exact dimensions of this bolt?

You should not have last those things.... not off the shelf hardware. Tear the place apart, look under stuff with a flashlite to find them, if you can't- just buy the dealer parts. If the pulley goes into the radiator, you will be into this for hundreds.

Two thoughts. First, I hate to say this, but is it inside something you have already put carefully back together and sealed up? That's what I do.
No? The other thing is, as soon as you buy the official replacements, and you temporarily just-for-one-moment set them aside till you need them, THERE will be the actual first ones. One of the laws of nature. Happens to me all the time.

The machine shop I hired to reassemble the engine found the bolt to be 7/8 fine thread. They are going to make a heavy duty washer for it as well so it looks like I got out of this pretty easy. I am almost positive I put the bolt back into the end of the crank after I removed it. I am thinking when the crank went out to be turned it was removed and lost. The nice thing about turning my garage upside down looking for it is all the other stuff that turned up that I have been looking for!
What is odd is that the dimensions for that bolt are listed for the gas engine, but not for the diesel.

Yep. That's where it is. The shop that turned the crank had to take it off, but they didn't put it back. I KNOW they didn't throw it away. It's tossed into a bin of other nuts and bolts they take off of jobs. Call them, their fault. You want the original if at all possible.
