I bleed green and not meadow green. My geriatric neighbor has a MF20 that he can't got started. He told me that if he sprays ether into the air intake it will run until the ether burns out, so that pretty much rules out the ignition system. I told him most likely that there is fuel blockage in the system so I went over there last night and removed the fuel line from the carb and there is a healthy stream of fuel supplying the carb. My question is, there is a solenoid valve on the card (Deere used the same set up) and I assume that it is not working. Can someone share an electrical schematic as to how it is wired in? As of now the solenoid is picking up power off of one of the post on the starter solenoid and it does not seem correct to me. (its not getting straight 12v from the battery post on the starter solenoid) Thanks in advance.

My 101 jr has done this a couple of times, runs on ether , fuel at the carb. Drove me nuts trying to figure it out, turns out the needle valve was sticking. try tapping on the top of the carb with a small hammer . seems to happen when they sit over winter, found the best
cure is to shut the fuel off and just let it run out of gas good luck
