44/444 swap

Is there any reason that a manual steering gear out of a 44 would not fit a 444 (wide front ) My power steering unit is leaking on my 444 and so far I'm unable to find any information for seals. Not fond of this solution, but may be my only temporary fix until I find parts Thanks

Most 44 standards were short frames, so the intermediate shaft may need to be lengthened. I think the steering wheel support is also a bit different, but if you have both, you may be able to swap it.

seal can be matched just by measurements .Baum hyd. of Omaha Na. is the first place i would call.

What I was looking to change out was the gear box under the radiator

Row crop wide fronts and Narrow (Tricycle) front use different handed gear box. One is LH worm and the other is RH worm. Make sure you get the proper gearbox if it is a rowcrop. Not sure on standard frontend which gear box is used.
