How do you tell which perkins diesel engine > it is a 1960 model is all the information I have from my friend.

1960 should be the indirect injection engine. The injectors are vertical. Direct injection came along in 1962 I think. The injectors are at a 45 degree angle.

Look at the oil pan, is it one piece, or does it have what looks like a pie shaped looking piece between the oil pan, and the bell housing. If it has the little pie shaped piece its a 192, if its one complete piece its a 203.

It's not mine , but a friend that acquired it with some property. Apparently it has the 2 piece oil pan with the wedge. Thanks
