Support Shim Between Front Axle Support and Block/Pan

I'm converting my perkins ad3.152 engine from a rope seal setup to a lip seal setup. I got a new short block and oil pan, both of which are supposed to fit me 205 industrial, however, on the old oil pan in the front there are six bolt holes either threaded or not for how the front axle support and nose cone attach.

The new setup is different by one spot. If you look at the front of the engine with the pan on, the upper right hole is different. The old setup had the hole and mating surface on the pan, the new one the pan stops short of this upper right hole and mating surface. The hole is in the engine block and there is a space between the engine block and where the front axle support mates.

It looks like there is supposed to be a large block shim or spacer that goes in there, perhaps for another model tractor. I was wondering what this peice is called so I can maybe get on for my tractor (if it fits) or get an idea of how to make something. Anyone know?

Hello JF,
This change was introduced at UK engine number UA391045DL and from serial number 140128.
This was when the swept axle was replaced with the straight one. The axle support is
different although the fitment to the engine sump and block may still be the same other
than the lug problem that you mention.
There is a spacer to be fitted in the gap with shims to suit. The spacer is something in
the region of 1 1/4" in diameter with a length just less than the gap that you have. The
gap difference should be made up with shims with a 5/8" hole in them as with the spacer.
I cannot find any mention of the spacer in the MF book or AGCO online parts book. It is
essential that the spacer and shim set up must be flush with the sump face so that there
is no chance of breaking the lug on the axle support when it is tightened. If I can find
a part number I will post it in a subsequent message.

I make my own spacers in situations like that, just measure what the difference is, then make the spacers that thickness, and drill the holes.

The only other thing that I can add to that is that stud 32526508 should be used for the
'up to' part number and 32526512 for the 'from' number.

excellent. Thank you. I found the 40e and 30e has this spacer and shim setup in the agco books online. Your help lead me to that.
