I own a 1962 MF 202 Workbull with the loader. Learned a lot about repairing some issues that arose with the tractor in the past few years but now faced with something I'm not sure about. Ran a few winters with a 6ft scraper blade on the 3pt hitch to clear snow, and recently purchased a 7ft single auger JD blower. Worked very well last winter, but over time I've noticed the lever to raise/lower the 3pt hitch getting pretty stiff. I can still move it right now, but takes a lot of force.
A mechanic I called said I should try getting working some penetrating fluid in where the rod goes into the housing. Did that a couple times but no luck yet, still stiff. Since he said to keep doing it over a few days and working it each time, I'll keep trying. Just curious if someone has run into this before and how they remedied it..
Thanks,
Paul
