I have a 399 2WD with C/H/A 12 speed transmission and the 354 Perkins engine. I lost steering today and after a quick inspection I noticed the teeth on the external hydraulic pump were broken off. The drive off the motor is still spinning but not the pump side. Has anyone else had this problem? What is the cause and how expensive of a fix is this?

When you say, the teeth on the drive, are you referring to the tangs on the drive coupler.
If this is the case, I'd guess that the flexible "cushion" located between the mating set of driving and driven couplers has perished.
The cushion part number16 is located between the two halves of the coupler number 15, and not as it is shown in the drawing.
I hope this may explain it a little better, Evan.
