135 seat problems

I recently bought a 135 and I'm looking for seat options...I have to cock my leg out to push the clutch in and it;s really tiring on my knee. I dont know if this is a common problem or is it because of my height? The seat seems to have me right under the steering wheel and it seems just to far forward. It is the factory seat and bracket. Anyone else have/had this problem? Is there a solution. I bought this to work with quite a bit. I bush hog and grade drives as well as other stuff and by the time I get done with a drive my knee is killing me. Thanks in advance for any input.

The factory float o matic seat might work better for you. They're
getting hard to find in good shape. That's the one in the second
pic. I Also have one like the first pic on a 165. Its not real
high but higher than the factory bucket. I found it on eBay.
About $120. The grammer style seats are also around a $100. I'm
short so they are too tall for me. May work better for you.

I bought a seat from agri supply for my 135. Got a piece of hollow 4" x 6" tubing and bolted it to the tractor and seat to it. Sits up pretty high now and my legs hit the clutch and brakes just fine.

That's exactly what I was thinking of doing. It would allow me to slide it back some as well. Do you have a picture?

Mine came with one of those aftermarket suspension seats. I'm 6' 0" and the seat is slid as far back as possible. It's about as good as it gets.

I also made a steering wheel that is about 5" higher than the stock steering wheel so I don't have to stretch my arms out too much. Plus to get it away from the windshield from my brush cab, You can barely see the steering wheel in this picture.

You and I have the same envisionment. Steering wheel raised, seat raised and moved back, and I've also been looking at extending at least the hi/low dog about 6"as well. What steering wheel did you use? I was thinking of putting a smaller one on mine because it's so easy to turn.

I cut the old spokes off the MF steering wheel hub, then took a steering wheel from a old Ford Falcon. Busted the plastic off the spokes, added some more rod to the spokes to make them longer, bent them to fit, and welded the spokes on the MF hub. Since you have easy steering you probably could find a little smaller diameter steering wheel that has a deeper dish to it.

Thats what I'm gonna try to do.Not a lot smaller but some and try to raise it up.
