MF136 bush hog size

I presently use a 5 foot hardee bush hog on it. Was thinking about getting on a 6 footer to cover the tractor tire marks. Do any of you use a 6 footer on one and how do they handle the extra weight.

I use a 5' brush hog on mine (diesel) and it seems about the right size, especially in very tall grass and weeds (i.e., over 5' tall). It handles the work pretty easy and does not seem to strain the tractor. I think a 6' unit would work fine in light work. I had a 6' unit on a Ford 3000 diesel and it did fine too.

I have a 7' Woods behind my MF2135 industrial (pretty much the same thing as a 135) but my 3 point wont lift it so I use it without the top link (works good just like a drag type), and it works fine. Here's a video of it, I had the top link hooked up in the video (it was the first time it was ever hooked to the tractor)

Years ago, before I had a tractor, a friend would be kind enough to loan me his 135 diesel with a 6' Hardee bushhog. It worked just fine. I have an old, light duty, Fred Cain (?) bushhog that I have used, on occassion, with my TO35 Gas with no problems.

I once borrowed a heavy duty 6' brush hog brand mower and tried it on a TO-35.

I was able to mow with it, but the tractor could barely pick it up. The hydraulics complained loudly. When the mower was in the air, I could grab the front end of the tractor and pick it up off the ground with my bare hands.
