MF 20

hey guys I have a question about my 1968 MF 20 I think the clutch needs adjusting and I am not sure how to do it. the reason is that I cant seem to get it to shift the 3 point hitch in to constant speed while tractor is running. it shifts into ground speed fine. I have the owners manual but it just shows the pedal adjustment. right now the pedal is high it says to adjust it down to 3/4 of an inch off the step this does not seem like it will help. any suggestions?

Do you mean engine PTO? If you have the two stage clutch the PTO will be correct when in engine PTO, shaft will be stopped with clutch pedal down on the step and start turning with pedal 3/4 inch off the step. A service manual will have the adjustment procedure, more info than the owner's book will.
