multipower transmission question

On the tractors with multipower levers, what should the tractor feel like when shifting the lever from high to low? The MF 50 doesn't seem to do much when the lever is moved. I know I have some work to do on the clutch because the new clutch was not adjusted and the 2 stage is off.

I've read references that the multipower basically makes the tractor a 12/4 speed set up. Is this an accurate description of its use?

You should notice a significant change in speed shifting up or
down. Also drive it up a hill in high, push in the clutch and it
should hold itself on the hill without brakes. If its not working
it could just be a matter of adjusting the linkage. Yes MP would
make it 12/4.
