i am going nuts:
i bought a temp gauge kit but the fittings dont fit the tractor:
just above the head, before the hose connecting to the top of the radiator is a steel contraption holding up the gas tank. on the left side is a hex bolt that covers the access hole to the coolant. i took it out: it fits a fine thread 5/8th nut at the store.
now: the brass converter they send me with the temp gauge is also 5/8th but just a smidge too big.....wont fit. the temp probe is 3/8 thick and quite long, so i will need an adapter....
i cannot find a brass 5/8in fine thread brass connector that goes into that hole that is not npt norm!
how do you experts work around this, without inserting the probe into the hose?
