help with a MF 240

I need help with 240 massey that has no brakes or 3 point lift. I know it has wet brakes but does that mean I have to have hydraulic pressure for them to work. Where do I check the hydraulic pressure on this unit.

Wet brakes mean they are designed to run in oil, they don't use hydraulic pressure to work. The brakes may need to be adjusted, or replaced if they can't be adjusted to work. Make sure all the brake linkage works, and its not stuck anywhere. How does the transmission/hydraulic oil look? Does the tractor have any auxiliary hydraulics?

I know this is the standard answer, but you might get a manual at the closest farm n home. Reason being, my MF-240-S has dry brakes. You need to make sure, plus the manual would tell you exactly all the details you might not get here.
