180 multi-power trans

I have a 180 with multi-power, diesel, starts and runs fine, hydraulics bad both regular and auxiliary,tractor acts as if it is under a load all the time. I have been told that with out hyd pressure that it will lock up on me. Have been pulling 10 foot cutter. Am I doing more damage, will it quit me? Don't have time to repair now, need to finish, any thoughts, thanks. Has double clutch,not aux PTO.

Make sure you don't have the position control lever in the constant pumping range on the three point, that will make the engine labor too and make the hydraulic system get hot.

That's how I got to this point my late father mowed pasture several days with lever in constant pumping position. He casually mentioned a strange noise, but by then it was to late. Multi-power was failing when we got tractor and would make a terrible noise, until the pump failed completely.
