MF 1130 cav pump expert?

Tony in WI

New User
I'm in need of an expert in making power with a cav injection pump. Had pump at two shops in Wi with terrible results at the first one. After getting it to run again and dumping more $$ into performance injectors the tractor dynoed 140 hp at the pull last nite! That's Bs!! It made that before all the performance parts. I was told its maxed out at 160cc fuel and that's about all that could be done to it. Anybody have a good pump guy I could get a hold of ? Thanks

140? I've seen a stock pump set all the way up on a neighbor's 1130 that did a bit more, until he melted it down in the field. Stock 1130 and 1135 had ten MM rotor plungers, I had 11MM plungers in the MF S90 I play with. The DPA pump has the rotor ports closer due to the smaller shaft size compared to the DB style Stanadyne pump. What tips are you running?

The pump shop referred to them as Mack injectors, 5 holes at .015 dia . And I believe the pump had 12mm plunger. What was funny was before I did the injectors it dynoed 140hp and I called them and there answer was I needed injectors, well after injectors its still 140hp!

Tony,
Try calling Wimers fuel injection out in sandy lake, PA.
Explain to them what you've done so far and what you expect outta your 1130........they are experienced in Massey Ferguson pulling tractors so might have some great advise to offer!?
Their number is 1-724-376-2904
Good luck

Thank you MF Rules for suggesting Wimer fuel injection. Talked to Ken and he lots of info on the Cav pump that he was willing to share with
me. He was able to answer the questions the pump shop in Wi couldn't and quick to say give him a call if I need anymore advise. I would
recommend them to others!
